Description: xvi 272p 247p 266p faded marbled paper covered boards, set of 3 vols, amateur binding with hand-written paper label and sm library shelf label on spine, signs of past dampness to covers, edges and a few pages, Cambridge College bookplate with cancellation stamp in red ink, barcode and bookplate 'presented by Alicia Cameron Taylor 1941' on front inner boards, sm cancelled stamp on back of half title, foxing to some pages, hinges weakening but bindings firm, engraved frontisp in Vol 1 detaching, rough cut pages, a few pages uncut, 1 engraving in each Vol, ex lib copy: "A guidebook whose day of usefulness has passed" said Porter in 1908, but today this counts as a charming and rare item
