Author: Engelgrave, Heinrich

Publisher: Augsburg: Ioannem Busaeum 1657.

Description: 2 parts in one vol, allegorical engraved titlepage, typographical title (for each part, the first has a tiny library stamp), full pigskin binding on wooden boards elaborately blindstamped (corners worn), very decorative, two clasps present and working, spine (5 bands) has later been covered with calf, probably to create a uniform impression on the shelf, spine label "LUX EVAN". Old ownership note on inside board with price (1780), additional ownership note covered up with paper on top of typographical title, engraved title without fault or repair, very faint humidity trace on right margin (1cm) for first 100p (hardly visible), I have spotted one old ink note to index, emblematic printers mark to last page page and on title pages, excellent copy: Volles jesuitisches Bildprogramm in a marvellous copy
