Description: vii 422p original red morocco binding, gilt frame to front, dentelles, all edges very gilt, paper clean binding tight, no name or stamps, spine a little rubbed with flaws of dryness, red boards bright, this copy contains only the text, not the plates, but it has been super-illustrated with two colour prints, each mounted on card with an oval cut-out, facing each other with a glassine paper, one formerly glued to the inside front board, the other still glued to the front free endpaper, which in turn led to light stress to the initial section of the binding. The first plate (Amor) has an old faint pencil note "By Angelica Kauffman," the second shows a round temple building.
