Description: 11 volumes large format (taller than A4) booklet with red cover (4 of them leather the others cloth), gilt lettering to front cover, ex Board of Education Library, each approx 30 pages of text, with HSMO C (Cmd) number, two copies of 1874 then from 1879-1889 with 1882 and 1888 missing, with bound interleaved with empty pages, where these empty pages (in multiple colours and formats) sometimes carry extensive manuscript notes in ink, representing the continuous process of amending the code by various players. The cover of 2 volumes are detached the remainder with good binding, very well preserved set, a curious research opportunity into educational policy in the making
