Riddle (1877 - 1968) discovered the hormone prolactin and worked on the pituitary gland. Papers collected here focus on bird physiology, sex reversal, pigeons, parthenogenesis, physiology of reproduction in birds, sex control, twinning, ataxic pigeons, blood sugar in pigeons etc. Collection also includes a paper on sex in right and left side of bird's body, (1924) etc. This is a unique item for pigeon research, and offers convenient access to the early research by this scientist, which is not otherwise available
