Description: This is volume 5 only of Seder ha-tefilotn: mi-kol ha-shanah ke-minhag ha-Sefaradim, the publication date given according to the Jewish calendar is 5551, "Published for the Author and sold by Johnson and Parsons & Walker", English and Hebrew text on facing pages, English text paginates to 206. Page 206 is missing the lower half, on its verso it is designated page 7, but on both pages no text may have been lost (end of paragraph). However, page 7 constitutes the last page of a section entitled (in the running header) "Notes Illustrating the Preceeding Translation" which in this copy is incomplete and begins on page 3 (=A2). The volume is bound in full dark calf (bottom of spine dented) with a name embossed to front board. The name reads "Mrs Varicas", which could be Esther Varicas nee Brandon, burried at Brompton (Fulham Rd) Jewish Cemetery, London. The binding is intact but aged, there is an old binder's ticket (Kelly), pages with marginal browning show traces of continued use. The spine is lettered "Prayers"
