Description: 265p hardback, old binding defective with spine mostly missing, this is a extra-illustrated copy of the first edition with 100 (?) additional plates (mostly illustrative, also ephemera, some stage related, some photographic, some adverts, one in colour) inserted and mounted empty pages. The book has been rebound long ago to accommodate all these illustrations, but the spine has since been lost, sewing is tight, housed in plain craft paper wrapper, the film for the city, a marvellous collection of sights and documents, yet a pity of all the other books who have bled their best parts to make up this one
