Description: [ii] 169p (collated), entirely printed from engraved plates, including text passages, this is a large paper copy (26 x 34,5cm measuring when book closed) in a very simple but contemporary half calf binding with paper covered boards, leather along spine disintegrating, but sewing intact and boards firmly in place.There is a library stamp to page 1, and old library paraphernalia to inner board. In this copy the imprint has been obscured by a bookseller's label which reads "Au Gagne - Petit rue Saint Honore pres St Roch a Paris Boüin, tient magazin de musique vocale etc " . There is a very faint and insignificant humidity trace to a few pages in the upper inner corner, showing in a small area of the upper edge. The impression of the plates in clear, but on some pages a slight grey background is present on the engraved area
