Description: this is a 50p section, printed on art paper, to Virtue's Household Physician: A Twentieth Century Medica, found in the beginning of volume 5, with many plates throughout, the text seems to be based on a 1905 publication (A Complete Course of Jiu-jitsu and Physical Culture) which involved J J O'Brien, with a section on the Whitely Exerciser. The volume also features a section (with colour plate) related to Phrenology, but its bulk is focussed on Veterinary Medicine. For sale is the entire Volume 5, bound in the original black cloth with Aesculapius design to front, burgundy cloth spine with gilt lettering, a tight and firm copy without names or stamps, edges a little dusty, light smudge to spine
