Title is divided into 2 parts: Ailimentary substances and Medicinal Substances, it gives concise descriptions "of the medicinal and nutritious properties of various articles of food and drink and the physiological and therapeutic effects of the medicinal agents employed in the cure of diseases." Latin and English indices, a copy in the original state, both boards detached, all edges un-cut, could do with some careful restorative work
