Author: Bédier, Joseph
Publisher: Paris: Firmin Didot 1902-1905. (Société des Anciens Textes Français)
Description: two volumes, ix 420p; 462p uniformly bound in terracotta cloth with gilt design to boards, gilt lettering to spine, printed on excellent paper, printed with ornaments, first edition, delightful edition, old bookplate "Thomas Brooke", this set has been studied very closely with pencil in hand, leaving us with a good number of faint pencil annotations to the text and to the introduction, learned disfigurement we call it, but the high quality of the paper bears these notes lightly, and we have found that an eraser can take care of this quite well
