Description: 338p small format hardback, superbly preserved early edition of this classic volume of English poetry. This is the corrected thirteenth edition with additional alphabetical table, and includes the rare sideways-formatted poem 'Easter Wings' (pictured). Original leather full calf binding with gilt borders and raised bands to spine, marbling to page edges on sides of textblock, illustrated frontispiece with portrait of author, very light wear to covers and sides, front endpapers show signs of repair and signatures from previous owners, pages a little foxed and tanned, text clear and readable. Overall an astonishingly well kept copy, essentially as robust and readable as it was three hundred years ago.
