Description: This is a large stuffed manila envelope, torn, which contains original material about UCLA strike events in 1970 against the expansion of the Vietnam War. It also contains copies of newspaper coverage related to the UCLA Campbell Hall Assassinations 1969: The shooting of Black Panther leaders Bunchy Carter and John Huggins for which George and Larry Stiner and Donald Hawkins and Claude Hubert have been tried. We have a blue folder of (recent) copies of contemporary news coverage of the Black Panther shooting, assembled for purposes of a student assignment. Relating to the 1970 strike in includes a student newspaper from Cornell, approx 40 mimeographed UCLA campus notices, newsletters, flyers and resolutions, also one comprehensive UCLA publication "The Three Wars" (printed in brown colour on yellow stock), approx. 15 complete issues of The Daily Bruin and five national magazines (Newsweek, Time, Life) from the period (Nixon’s Home Front, Protest!, The New War, Tragedy at Kent, The Negro and the Cities). Also included is an illustrated flyer calling for a boycott of the Woodstock film because of high ($4.-) ticket price (Woodshuck: A Part of the Hole).
